Wanaosema alikuwa muislamu chanzo chake kilikuwa ni maneno ya kaka mtu Jermaine Jackson aliyoyatoa wakati anatangaza kifo chake na aliporejea kutoka kuhiji Mecca na kukaririwa: “When I came back from Mecca I got him a lot of books and he asked me lots of things about my religion and I told him that it’s peaceful and beautiful.“He read everything and he was proud of me that I found something that would give me inner strength and peace.
“I think it is most probable that Michael will convert to Islam.

Jacko sat on the floor wearing a tiny hat after an Imam was summoned to officiate — days before the singer is due to appear at London’s High Court where he is being sued by an Arab sheik.
A source told last night how Jacko, brought up as a Jehovah’s Witness, decided to convert as he used a studio at the home of his chum to record a new album.
The star — whose hits include The Way You Make Me Feel — was spotted looking “a bit down” by a producer and a songwriter who had both embraced Islam.
The source said: “They began talking to him about their beliefs, and how they thought they had become better people after they converted. Michael soon began warming to the idea.
“An Imam was summoned from the mosque and Michael went through the shahada, which is the Muslim declaration of belief.” Mikaeel is the name of one of Allah’s angels.
“Jacko rejected an alternative name, Mustafa — meaning “the chosen one”.

After such images it did not take very long for western media like the NY Sun and NY Post to declare that Michael Jackson had converted to Islam at a ceremony in L.A. and changed his name to “Mikaeel” (Arabized version of Michael and the name of one of the four major angels of Islam).
The news story was immediately slammed by Jackson’s representatives:
Jackson’s New York lawyer, Londell McMillan, took the opportunity to trash a British press report that Jackson has become a Muslim. “That’s rubbish. It’s completely untrue,” McMillan told reporters.

He had been working on an album with the well-known Muslim musician, Dawud Warsby, and another Muslim performer, and the two, sensing Michael’s troubled and depressed state had invited him to Islam. He accepted their invitation. Michael was no stranger to the religion, having been exposed to it by his brother Jermaine, who had converted to the faith in 1989.”
Unfortunately for Zaid Shakir’s “reliable source” the account is not correct. At his blog Dawud Wharnsby reveals that he had never even met Michael Jackson.
Lastly - many have been in touch with me over the past year to inquire about my personal relationship with Michael Jackson. A November 21, 2008 Sun (UK) article spread internationally stating that Michael had adopted the religion of Islam through friendship with both myself and my colleague Idris Phillips during recording sessions in Los Angeles.
For the record: Though our professional circles did cross-over slightly with various common professional acquaintances - I never had the honour or pleasure of meeting Micheal Jackson [sic] personally, nor did we ever correspond on matters of our professions, personal lives or faiths. Now Michael is gone.
Kwa ‘data’ hizo mbili, tukubaliane, tena bila shaka, kuwa Michael Jackson hakuwahi kuwa Muislamu wala hakuwahi kusema hadharani kuwa amesilimu. Na kwa kuwa maandalizi ya mazishi yake yameshajionesha kuwa ataagwa na atazikwa na jeneza mambo ambayo ni kinyume na imani ya Kiislamu, then hawezi kuwa alikuwa MUISLAMU jamani!!!!!

HITIMISHO: Kuna magazeti ya ku"quote" kwa habari muhimu lakini si The Sun. Unajua hilo Kaka Abby maana najua kama mkuu wa Gazeti la Uwazi na mengine ya aina hiyo wajua The Suna wanaandika nini.

Being muslim or christian for Michael ,does not matter at all kwa sababu gani nipoteze muda kwa dini isiyo yangu?

Asante sana Anon 11:17pm kwa maoni safi. Nakubaliana nawe katika usemalo juu yan imani. Kwangu nimaanishalo ni kuwa hakuna haja ya Michael anazikwa vipi na alikuwa akiabudu nini. Hilo ni juu yao. Na suala la anazikwa vipi pia ni wajibu wao. Nililokuwa nikiongeklea ni lile nililoona limechangiwa saana (ukumbi mwingine) juu ya maziko yake kulingana na imani yake.Ndio maana nilichanganya kusema azikwe azikwe azikwavyo kwani ubishi hausaidii lolote kwa sasa.
Sina hakika kama ulielewa nililouliza kuhusu imani. Sijauliza kuhusu mtu aulizaye. Labda NILILOJIFUNZA ni kuwa makini wakati ujao, niandike katika mfumo utakaoeleweka kirahisi.
Naona mantiki yangu haiko mbali na yako, labda namna nilivyoieleza ndio imeleta utata.
