Media Release – From the Office of the President of GSB Re: GSB - Tanzania
After months of patiently awaiting justice and working to improve internal operations in Tanzania, more difficulties and challenges persist. VP of International Operations (Jackson Akim Pemba) has failed to comply with company policy and travel to the USA to clear his name in the observed fraudulent business that took place in May of 2007. Upon repeated attempts to work things out legally and improve communication, Mr Pemba has continued to behave in a manner unacceptable to GSB. Jack Pemba directly led the two US businessmen to meet with Issa Katunzi (AKA Isaac Mumba).
Closure of GSB – Tanzania operations is still in discussion pending Col Iddi Kipingu’s arrival in USA to discuss his taking over GSB-Tanzania and overseeing the operation. GSB – USA has set a timeline for this to take place: All legal and financial matters must be cleared up prior to August 30, 2007. Set communication process implemented
Our challenge to Tanzania:
After hearing the President’s fine speech in New York regarding doing business in Tanzania, His Excellency issued a “challenge” for American Businesses to “come to Tanzania” and do business. Being present at this speech, GSB heard the challenge and accepted. Now, GSB issues a challenge to Tanzania. Stand behind the good men and women trying to help Tanzania. We have heard all the rumors of bad business dealings, and yet now see first hand that there are no actions being taken to resolve this matter. GSB invited 2 businessmen and there was a customs officer present during the business activity. All documents presented to the 2 businessmen were stamped and sealed by the appropriate governmental departments. To date (over 60 days later and after hundreds f faxes to the all governmental departments and anti – corruption agencies), GSB nor the businessmen have received even 1 phone call. GSB even posted proof online at www.globalscoutingbureau.com/tz.htm of the fraudulent Tanzanian businessman (Issa Katunzi) and pictures showing the customs officer, yet nothing have been done. After receiving death threats and being sued by the fraudulent businessman, this man (Issa Katunzi) still openly walks the streets and advertises business.
So, GSB hereby issues the challenge. Stand up Tanzania. Stop corruption and the world will do business in Tanzania.
GSB is dedicated to using sports as a vehicle to provide opportunities to the youth of Tanzania. But look a little deeper, GSB provides a global network of respected people willing and able to assist in the 3 areas GSB specializes in: Education, Evaluation & Exposure. Tanzania has a lot to offer, but can any business be successfully transacted? This is the question. GSB has legitimate businessmen from around the world waiting to do business and improve the economy and assist in educating and providing opportunites to Tanzanians. Help us do this!
