MASIKINI MWISHO!

Tanzania
’s Mwisho and Zambia ’s Paloma up for eviction this week on M-Net’s Big Brother All Stars after Monday’s (6 September) nominations. For the first time in five consecutive weeks, Munya is not in danger of leaving the Big Brother All Stars House this weekend – while Paloma finds herself up for eviction for the first time since week one, when all the housemates stood the chance of leaving.

Once all the nominations were in, Big Brother told the Housemates that Head of House Meryl and her beau Mwisho had received the most nods from the Housemates. Summoned to the Diary Room to make her Head of House decision, Meryl hovered outside the door and asked to go to the toilet before heading inside. Once she was in the Diary Room, she was clearly distressed at having to choose between herself and ‘boyfriend’ Mwisho. She asked Big Brother for a moment after declaring “I can’t do this!”. After much hand-wringing, she decided to save herself and put Paloma up in her place.

· Earlier in the day, Munya had changed his mind after nominating Uti and Mwisho, and put Meryl in Mwisho’s place. Munya has been using the same strategy at nomination since week one, nominating the Housemates who come from the countries furthest from Zimbabwe . At first he said he was nominating Meryl because she was one of the Housemates that came from a country furthest from Zimbabwe but Big Brother would not accept that reason. He then said that his instinct was that “In the best interest of the game, if people I want to stay are to stay then I should nominate her,” he said.

· Meryl later nominated Munya, calling him “The Diamond Boy”, citing no specific reason for nominating him. She also named Kaone, who she said she had to nominate for the purposes of her alliance. Mwisho also nominated Munya and Kaone, saying that he did not like “nominating chicks”. Noting the coincidence between his and Meryl’s nominations, Big Brother asked him if he had discussed his nomination with anyone else in the House or if anyone else was nominating the same people, to which he responded in the negative. Asked why he hadn’t nominated Uti, Mwisho replied that Uti was his friend.

· Jennifer nominated Munya and Mwisho because they were the only two people she did not feel close to. Though she calls Mwisho as her “Dad”, Jennifer told big Brother that she wasn't close to him. Paloma nominated Meryl because she could save herself as Head of House – or save Mwisho if need be.

· Kaone nominated Meryl for the same reason, along with Uti because of their “relationship”. When Big Brother questioned the status of the relationship, Kaone was reluctant to spill the beans. He told Big Brother that Uti was his brother but it was time for them to start nominating each other, adding that he felt that he finally had the freedom to nominate Uti. Big Brother refused to accept that reason, forcing Kaone to refer to his nomination session as an interrogation. Uti didn’t nominate Kaone, instead choosing Jennifer and Paloma because neither had faced eviction before.

· Sheila and Lerato both declared that they would like to see Paloma in The Barn. Lerato also nominated Jennifer to see if she would survive being up for eviction, saying that she was too complacent and comfortable in the House. Sheila also nominated Jennifer, saying that she didn’t trust the Mozambican.

· Code said he felt Mwisho was getting too comfortable in the House, while Tatiana nominated Mwisho and Uti because she’d rather keep the people that she’d been close to while she was still in the House, in the game. Code also nominated Meryl because she was the Head of House.

· Hannington nominated Meryl for the same reason before naming Kaone as his other choice. He had no reason for putting Kaone up but it was just the first name that came into his head. When Big Brother dug deeper, Hannington said it would be interesting to see Kaone in the Barn.
