It must have been copied from typical gangsta rap music, particularly installed on cover magazine, CD or any other black hip hop culture. it is an attitude thing simulate toughness and control mood.
I must also said that, the move and the pose do appear on the classical Mafia/Italian gangsta movie, but i suspect this one was taken from the HIP HOP culture.
